I have this raspberry vine in my back lot that has ben growing there for several years. It just came up on its own, and I didn’t do anything with it. Finally, this year I decided to get a raspberry trellis, for it to grow on, and was hoping that it would flourish. Well, it has flourished and now I have an abundance of delicious raspberries to eat and make pies with. They are sweet and tart at the same time, which is just how I like them. Now, I just have to figure out how to keep the squirrels off of the trellis, because they will eventually tear it up. I think that I will try to grow blackberries next year if it’s not to late to plant them for this year. Any ideas about when is too late to plant blackberries or raspberries? I’d love to hear your suggestions about it.
